Dr. L. Mahadevan’s Ayurvedic foundation has specifically designed clinical curriculum that integrates ancient ayurvedic tradition with modern clinical medicine with high standards, to consciously integrate the sciences and spirituality together which infuses its academics with ideals, skill with philosophy, practical training, contemplative insights, textual study with personal experience of medication, treatment and analysis

This tradition is routed to oral gurukula tradition supported by parallel study of darshanas along with Ayurveda. There will be daily teaching of ayurvedic clinical practices and bedside examination. Our tradition is pledged to serve as a platform for authentic clinical ayurvedic education that brings an opportunity for BAMS and BSMS students in global level to understand in-depth guna based theory and to understand ayurveda (tridosha) thoroughly. It offers on-site clinical apprenticeship under trained vaidyas and advanced clinical programmes under the direct guidance of Dr. L. Mahadevan. There will be continuing research programmes, teaching from the texts, oral training which will accomplish students to get an out standing clinical wisdom. This tradition will ensure the transmission of the authentic clinical practice. This is one of the most successful clinical model for ayurveda. This gurukula will be soon equipped to embark global training programme. The school includes a teaching clinical programme to empower the broader community with the wisdom of clinical ayurveda.

Come and learn the path of clinical medicine from an experienced teacher. Gurukulam is a type of school, residential in nature which students live with the proximity of the teacher.

Here students of ayurveda and siddha irrespective of their understanding are welcome to learn from a clinical teacher and practice ayurveda together. At least one year is required to stay with the teacher to attain good clinical skill.

In our Gurukulam we allow, students of BAMS and BSMS to come and stay with Dr. L. Mahadevan to learn clinical medicine. Separate programs are available for western students who have undergone theoretical classes who require in-depth case studies.
