Situated in the original site, the hospital forms an integral part of life in tranquil and picturesque village of Derisanamcope in southern tip of Indian sub-continent. The hospital was established 75 years ago by Dr. Y. Mahadeva Iyer. The village Derisanmacope is only 13 kms from Nagercoil, the headquarters of Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu, India. It is surrounded by paddy fields, ponds of lotus, flowers, groves of coconut palms, beautiful hills and cool breeze. The hospital is located in an Ayurvedic atmosphere.
The hospital was established in 1920 by Dr.Y.Mahadeva Iyer, who was a highly acclaimed physician, a great sanskrit and vedic scholar. He loved Ayurvedic science and was a master in Ayurvedic Samhitas. This hospital continues to thrive under the expertise of the family members of Dr.Y.Mahadeva Iyer.
